The Sheppys have made cider at Bradford-on-Tone, west of Taunton, for six generations — one of the oldest cider-making families in the West Country. Alongside the orchards there’s a cafe, shop and a museum of cider-making, and ‘Harvest’ tours that walk you through the whole operation. Open to visitors year-round; Taunton station is about 6km to the north-east.
