Nynehead Court’s grounds are now mostly a residential care and later-living site, but the 18th-century parkland around it still holds a walled garden, a huge ice house, and specimen trees planted across three centuries by the Sandford family, who lived here until 1902. The garden opens a handful of days a year for the National Garden Scheme, usually with a tour from the head gardener included. Sheppy’s Cider is a short drive away if you want to make a day of it.
