Approximate location — this spot is pinned to the nearest village, so the exact point may be a little way off.

The tallest three-sided obelisk in the world stands on the Blackdown Hills escarpment above Wellington, a 175-foot stone spike raised to mark the Duke of Wellington’s victory at Waterloo. Begun in 1817, it took until the 1890s to reach full height. The National Trust cares for it, and the surrounding land is open access, with a broad view back over the Vale of Taunton. Tiverton Parkway is the nearest station.
