Known as the Cathedral of the Downs, St Michael and All Angels at Lambourn is a big cruciform church with a fine late-Norman nave — four bays of round arches — and a Norman doorway at the west end. Later medieval chapels flank the chancel. It sits in the square of the racehorse-training village, open to visitors.
