St Mary’s crowns the hill at the top of Kersey, closing the view up the village’s single street of tilting cottages and its watersplash ford. It’s a big flint church for so small a place, another product of the medieval wool trade. Open access. Sudbury station is a fair way off, so this is car or bike country rather than a rail day out.
