Among the finest of all Somerset towers stands over this village near Langport: a hundred feet of pinnacled, quatrefoil-banded Perpendicular work, finished around 1500 and long admired — it appeared on a 1972 postage stamp of British architecture. Its close companion is the tower at Kingsbury Episcopi to the south. Open to visitors; Bridgwater is the nearest station, about 16km north-west.
