St Andrew’s at Nether Wallop holds the only Anglo-Saxon wall painting still in place in an English parish church, a Christ in Majesty with flying angels painted by the Winchester School around 1020 and rediscovered in the 1930s. Usually open. Grateley station is about 6km north-west.
