The oldest windmill in Essex, built about 1756 and the last of seven that once stood around Finchingfield. The white weatherboarded post mill overlooks the village green and its duck pond, and is now owned by Essex County Council. It opens on summer open days, usually the third Sunday afternoon from April to September.
