Tarbolton is where the young Robert Burns founded the Bachelors’ Club in 1780, a debating and social society that met in a thatched 17th-century house — now a National Trust for Scotland museum. It’s also where he learned to dance and joined the Freemasons. A historic Ayrshire village, about 8km from Prestwick airport station.
