Flamborough sits on its own chalk headland, ringed by white sea cliffs and dotted with coves. It has two lighthouses — the working tower of 1806 and, inland, a chalk-built beacon of 1669 that’s the oldest surviving complete lighthouse in England. The cliffs teem with seabirds, and paths lead round to Selwicks Bay and the North Landing. Bempton station is a few kilometres west, and Bridlington is just down the coast.
