Tucked just below the great Kielder dam, Falstone is a tiny North Tyne village with a pub and a tea room that make a welcome stop on the Lakeside Way, the roughly 26-mile trail circling the reservoir. It’s the nearest settlement to the water’s southern end, while Kielder village sits at the head of the lake.
