The reason to slow down at Drumbeg is the viewpoint just outside the village, looking north over the islet-strewn waters of Eddrachillis Bay toward Handa. The village is a small Assynt settlement on the notoriously twisty B869, a single-track road of tight hairpins that tests the driver and rewards the passenger. There’s a shop and a hotel.
