Sea stack off the Assynt coast.
The Old Man of Stoer is a 60-metre sea stack of Torridonian sandstone standing just off the cliffs of the Stoer peninsula. You reach the viewpoint on a clifftop walk of a couple of miles from Stoer Head Lighthouse; climbers get to the stack itself by a Tyrolean rope traverse across the channel. The path is unfenced and exposed in places, so mind the edge, especially in wind.
