Combe Martin straggles for well over a mile up a narrow valley to a sheltered cove at the western edge of Exmoor; it claims one of the longest village streets in the country. Just east rises the Great Hangman, at 318m the highest sea cliff in England and the high point of the South West Coast Path. Barnstaple is the nearest station, about 15km south.
