Open accessNational Trust land — free to wander
Boscastle’s harbour is reached by a narrow, twisting inlet between high cliffs, a natural anchorage the National Trust now owns along with the Minster woods above. In August 2004 a flash flood tore through the village after freak rainfall, sweeping cars out to sea; remarkably nobody was killed, and the rebuilt village and its old stone quay look much as they did before.
