Betchworth sits by the River Mole below the North Downs, a village of old cottages and a cricket green with a medieval church down near the water. The lanes and riverside here turn up now and then as film locations. Betchworth station, on the Reigate–Reading line, is about 1km north, and Brockham is just upstream.
