Dorking is a market town in the gap where the River Mole cuts through the North Downs between Box Hill and the wooded Nower. Its old high street has long been known for antique shops, and it makes a natural base for the Surrey Hills. Denbies Wine Estate is on the northern edge of town. Dorking has three stations, the main one on the London–Horsham line.
