Steel Rigg is the go-to car park for the most dramatic mile of Hadrian’s Wall, high on the ridge with the switchback crags falling away to either side. From here it’s a short walk to Crag Lough and the dip at Sycamore Gap. The car park is small and fills early on fine days; The Sill visitor centre just down the road has more parking and a café.
