Roald Dahl lived, wrote and is buried in Great Missenden, and this museum on the high street is built around his archive — manuscripts, letters and a recreation of the writing hut where he worked. It’s pitched at children and families, and open most of the year for a charge. The station is barely two minutes’ walk away.
