Hewn is an adults-only cabin retreat in an old quarry at Forcett Grange, near the County Durham border, and its sauna stands beneath the birches with a deck and loungers. The sauna was made by Kirami in Finland, and the whole space is yours for the session, whether you’re staying or just visiting. There is no lake or river, so cooling off means a cold drench shower.
