Close to the town centre, the Lerwick sauna stands behind the Old Brevick House on South Road, in a sheltered spot with views out to sea. It seats 15, and cooling off here means plunge pools and cold showers rather than the sea. Alongside community sessions there are women’s hours and aufguss, a guided ritual where a sauna master fans scented steam around the room.
