At Bowling, west of Glasgow, BYRE runs a wood-fired sauna at the edge of the canal basin, beside The Customs House, built in 1800 to record the cargo passing through the harbour and now a small hotel. There’s a cold plunge and canal-side decking for the breaks between rounds, with moored boats in front of you. Sessions seat up to six, and Bowling station and the canal towpath are both close by.
