Tin-mine engine houses clinging to the cliffs.
The two Crowns engine houses at Botallack cling to a ledge just above the waves on the Tin Coast, probably the most photographed ruins in the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site. Their shafts once ran out under the sea. The coast path passes right by them, open and free, with the National Trust looking after the ground. Geevor Tin Mine is a short way up the coast at Pendeen.
