The Six Bells (Bishop's Castle)
Down the hill opposite Bishop’s Castle’s church, the Six Bells is a seventeenth-century inn on Church Street. It brewed its own ales in the outbuildings behind until 2018 and stays a real-ale favourite, with stone walls, low beams and a wood-burner. One of a knot of characterful pubs in a town that takes its beer seriously — the Three Tuns is just up the road.
