One of the Cotswolds’ largest Iron Age hillforts crowns the flat hilltop above Uley, its ramparts still ringing some thirty-odd acres. A path follows the ditch right around the rim, with long views over the Severn Vale as you go. Open access and free; the climb up is steady rather than steep. Cam & Dursley station is around 5km to the north-west.
