Thirty-five acres of garden and arboretum wrapped around a small medieval castle near Cosheston, on a wooded tidal creek off the Cleddau. The planting was much improved in the early 20th century and the tree collection dates largely from the 1920s onward; a little Norman chapel dedicated to St Giles stands in the grounds. The gardens are open to visitors while the castle itself stays private. Lamphey station is about 4km south.
