The Duke and Duchess of Richmond’s family has lived at Goodwood House for over 300 years, and their art collection inside is a genuine draw: Stubbs, Canaletto and Van Dyck hang alongside Sèvres porcelain and Gobelins tapestries. Guided tours run on a seasonal pattern, typically Sundays and Mondays, with an admission charge. The wider estate spans the racecourse and motor circuit above Chichester. Chichester station is about 6.3km south-west, and Halnaker Windmill is a short drive east.
