John Dickinson opened this bakery in 1851, and it took the name Dickinson & Morris when Joseph Morris joined in 1886. It’s the only working pork pie bakery left in Melton Mowbray, still hand-raising the town’s famous pies around a wooden dolly to give them their bowed, bulging sides. You can watch the raising at pie-making demonstrations, then buy them warm from the counter.
Full name: Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe (Dickinson & Morris)
