Tamdhu makes a fully sherry-cask Speyside malt at Knockando, and its visitor centre occupies the village’s old railway station buildings, a nice reuse of a stop on the long-closed Speyside line. Owned by Ian Macleod, it came back into production in 2013 after a spell silent. Tours are paid; Elgin is about 21km north.
