The Galloway Smokehouse sits right on the A75 at Carsluith, oak-smoking salmon, trout, meats and game the traditional way. There’s a shop where you can buy the lot to take home, which makes it an easy stop if you’re driving the coast road towards Newton Stewart or Wigtown. The little tower house of Carsluith Castle stands just across the road.
