Balfour is the winery of the Hush Heath Estate near Staplehurst, set among apple orchards and woodland. The cellar door is open for tastings and you can walk the vines and grounds — the Balfour Brut Rosé is the wine that made its name. Tours are worth booking. Marden station is about 3km to the north-west.
