St Mary’s at Breamore is one of the most complete Saxon churches in the country, built around the year 1000. There’s a Saxon rood above a doorway and an Anglo-Saxon inscription carved over an arch inside, one of the few of its kind to survive in England. Usually open. Salisbury station is about 11km north.
