Hop Back brews at Downton, south of Salisbury, and is best known for Summer Lightning — a pale, hoppy golden ale that helped set the style and has picked up a long list of awards. The brewery started life in 1987 above a Salisbury pub before moving out to Downton. There’s a shop and taproom on the site. Salisbury station is around 9km to the north-west.
