Our Lady of the Isles is a large granite statue of the Madonna and Child on the western slopes of Rueval, near the north end of South Uist. Sculpted by Hew Lorimer and completed in 1957, it’s a landmark visible from the main road. There’s a layby off the A865 to pull in and walk up for a closer look.
