Saundersfoot grew up as a coal-exporting harbour, and its main beach curves away north from the old harbour walls — sheltered, sandy and safe for paddling, with the village shops and cafés right behind. A wooded former tramway path runs north from here through cut tunnels towards Wiseman’s Bridge. Saundersfoot station sits about 2km inland to the north-west.
