Pastel harbour town inside its medieval walls, ringed by beaches.
Tenby (Dinbych-y-Pysgod) keeps much of its medieval town wall, curving around a headland above the harbour where tall pastel-painted houses look down on the boats. Three sandy beaches wrap the town — the North Beach, and the South and Harbour beaches — and small boats run out to the Cistercian monastery on Caldey Island. It grew into a fashionable resort in Georgian and Victorian times. The station sits just behind the town.
