Amroth marks the eastern end of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, where the long-distance route begins its run north around the coast. The beach itself is a wide mix of sand and shingle, and at very low tides the blackened stumps of a submerged prehistoric forest show across the flats. It sits just along from Saundersfoot; Kilgetty station is about 5km west.
