The Sands of Evie is a sheltered curve of golden sand on the Mainland’s north coast, looking across Eynhallow Sound to the island of Rousay. It’s a favourite for a paddle or a spot of windsurfing, and the Iron Age Broch of Gurness stands just along the shore. There’s a car park near Evie, and the Orkney Brewery is not far off.
