Taylorgill Force is one of the finer falls in the Lakes, but you earn it — a tall plunge in upper Borrowdale, on one of the walking routes up to Sty Head from Seathwaite. The path runs above the fall along a steep, rocky section with a bit of exposure, so it suits confident walkers rather than casual visitors. It’s a fine sight in spate. There’s no station within easy reach; Seathwaite farm is the usual starting point.
