Tregaron was a great gathering point for the drovers who walked Welsh cattle east to the English markets, and the wide square still feels built for that trade. On the edge of town the raised bog of Cors Caron spreads along the Teifi, crossed by a boardwalk and an old railway line. Y Talbot on the square is the obvious place to stop.
