High in the Cambrian hills above Tregaron, Capel Soar y Mynydd is a plain Calvinistic Methodist chapel built for the drovers and hill farmers who once crossed this empty country. It is reputed to be the remotest chapel in Wales, and the drive up single-track lanes bears that out. Still used for occasional summer services, and left open to look round. Sugar Loaf station lies about 11km to the south-east.
