Lampeter sits in the Teifi Valley around St David’s College, founded in 1822 and the oldest institution of higher education in Wales — the third oldest in England and Wales, after Oxford and Cambridge. It’s a small, walkable university town, and makes a handy stop between Llandysul and Tregaron as you work up the valley.
