Talybont-on-Usk is a canal village on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, with three pubs to its name and a reputation as a walkers’ and boaters’ stop. Talybont Reservoir lies up the valley to the south, and there are waterfalls in the wooded cwms around it. The Taff Trail passes through, following the old railway line over the hills towards Merthyr.
