Llangynidr lies in the Usk valley about four miles west of Crickhowell. The Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal passes through, and the flight of locks here is a pleasant spot to watch the boats. There’s an old stone bridge over the Usk as well, and a couple of pubs. Good easy walking along the towpath in either direction.
