Rowen is a small conservation village of stone cottages at the foot of Tal-y-Fan, on the old Roman road over the Carneddau. The North Wales Pilgrim’s Way passes through, and a steep lane climbs to the ancient church at Llangelynnin on the hillside above. Tal-y-Cafn station is about 3km east.
