St Celynnin’s sits high on the hillside above Henryd, in the Carneddau foothills, reached by a climb up a walled lane — one of the more remote medieval churches in these parts. Parts of it go back to the twelfth century; inside are faded seventeenth-century wall texts, and a small healing well sits in a corner of the churchyard. Open, if you make the walk up.
