At around 300m, Minions is the highest village in Cornwall, set out on Bodmin Moor amid the relics of old copper and tin mining. Beside it stand the Hurlers, three Bronze Age stone circles, and a mile north the balanced granite tower of the Cheesewring. Ruined engine houses dot the moor around, walkable on open ground straight from the village.
