Marlow is a Georgian town where the Chilterns meet the Thames, with a slim suspension bridge over the river and the spire of All Saints’ church beside the weir. The high street runs down to the bridge past pubs and independent shops, among them Tom Kerridge’s Hand and Flowers. Marlow has its own branch-line station, a short walk from the centre.
