The Olde Bell at Hurley claims to have begun as a guesthouse for the Benedictine priory next door in 1135, which would make it one of England’s oldest inns. Norman details survive, including a doorway and the old sanctuary bell, and there are rambling gardens behind. Marlow station is about 4km to the north-east.
