Lochcarron runs for a good mile of whitewashed houses along the shore of its sea loch, one of the larger villages of southern Wester Ross and a natural first stop coming up from the south. There’s a shop, a couple of hotels and a golf course by the water. Handily, Attadale station on the Kyle line is only a few miles along the loch.
